Hey, what a wonderful piece.

Your writing and Anne Reid’s acting in a play about the late Queen. Man, that’s quite the deal. I hope it all goes brilliantly.

You may have heard the Zsa-Zsa Gabor line: ‘Darling, let me introduce you to Darling’.

Love this : “the reason I write, to have that moment where the expression becomes effortless because I am not willing words onto the page, they are turning up of their own accord.”

If you have the gift … which you do!

Bob Dylan said : ‘It's not me, it's the songs. I'm just the postman, I deliver the songs.”

Looking forward to hearing your words leave the page for the stage ….

Oh I love this so much, and so many resonances! My mum was an actress, who called everyone darling too, which unfortunately I find I do too (not ideal in today's workplace). Ann Reid is a fabulous woman in every way - she sings, she acts, she sleeps with Daniel Craig - I sat next to her at the Park Theatre a few years ago, we got chatting and she told me she'd once fitted my mum for a swimsuit at Woollens, the old department store in Kensington, when she was a drama student! So excited about your play and can't wait to see it.

What a glorious evocation, Daisy! I've heard your marvellous script come alive just when a bunch of your (decidedly civilian) friends read it out -
